Originally from Lexington, SC, Dave came to Filbert in 2000 while he was a student at Winthrop University in Rock Hill.  Dave has served at Filbert in multiple roles - as a member, seminary intern, Associate Pastor (2007-2022), and now as Senior Pastor.  He studied Philosophy at Winthrop, where he was involved with the RUF campus ministry.  Following Winthrop, he earned the M.Div. (2007) and D.Min. (2022) from RTS-Charlotte in 2022.  Dave has been married to Carly since 2002.  They have 3 children - Karis, Berit, and Piper.
